Sangria!

A pitcher of sangria surrounded by fresh fruit

Sangria’s origin traces back to the Roman Empire over 2000 years ago. Wine was mixed with fruit, herbs, water, and spices to make the often-unsafe water supply safer to drink. Over the centuries, this fruit-infused wine has evolved. “Sangria” likely comes from sangre, which is Spanish for blood, referring to its deep, rich color. Over time, variations of sangria became popular using white and even rose wines as the base.

Sangria became globally recognized after being showcased at the 1964 World’s Fair in New York, where Spain’s pavilion served the drink to millions of visitors.

Non-alcoholic versions of sangria are a modern adaptation to accommodate all preferences. Using NA wine and NA spirits preserves the fruity, refreshing essence of the original without alcohol.

Here are some delicious NA Sangria recipes to try using NA wines and NA spirits available in our store.
